Good to Know About These Markets:
The Saint Félicien market, on the Ardèche side, located at Place de l’Église, Grande Rue, and Place de l’Hôtel de Ville, is perfect for stocking up on delicious Ardèche products! Cured meats, cheeses... and don’t miss the brioche made in San Farcio (the local name for Saint Félicien): La Foisse, prepared exclusively on market days.
The Tournon sur Rhône market, held on Saturdays, is unique in being divided into two parts.
The forain market — with clothing, baskets, jewelry, etc. — takes place on Quai Farconnet, under the shade of plane trees, where you can shop around and relax on the terraces of the many nearby cafés.
On Place Jean Jaurès, you’ll find the fruit and vegetable market, perfect for food lovers.
Tip: Follow the locals — they know the best stalls.
You can also cross the pedestrian bridge to enjoy the Tain l’Hermitage market on Saturdays, just as lively and pleasant.

The Market Train
Yes, there are indeed trains in Ardèche — well, one train to be exact — the famous Train de l'Ardèche! This train travels through the unspoiled and wild Gorges du Doux, a small river and tributary of the Rhône.
During summer (from July 23 to August 27), the Train de l’Ardèche
runs a special Market Train service.
On Tuesdays only, a diesel train stops at all the stations along its route (Tournon-St Jean, Colombier / St Barthélémy le Plain, Boucieu le Roi, Arlebosc) to take passengers to the Lamastre market, one of the largest summer markets in Ardèche.
You can also explore other scenic routes with the Train de l’Ardèche!
