The Vélorail of the Gorges du Doux in Boucieu le Roi
Curious pedal-powered vehicles running on a century-old railway track, in the heart of preserved gorges—that’s the Vélorail des Gorges du Doux.
A 12-kilometer downhill ride with two different routes: Les Viaducs and Les Etroits. It’s the pleasure of discovering at your own pace a unique place, classified as a sensitive natural area. Following the Vivarais railway, better known as the Mastrou, this fun activity will delight lovers of the great outdoors. The Vélorail is located in the character village of Boucieu le Roi, one of the most beautiful villages in Ardèche and the first to be awarded the Accueil Vélo label. Facilities have been installed in the village to allow cyclists to visit with peace of mind.
Les canotiers Boat n’bike
Combine the pleasure of cycling with a cruise on the Rhône! That’s the great idea from La Compagnie des Canotiers: bike one way, return by boat—or the other way around. The variety of landscapes and viewpoints will surprise you. Hop aboard the flat-bottomed Canotiers boat, designed for river transport. Enjoy a fascinating 2-hour ride between the towns of Tournon sur Rhône, Valence, and Saint Vallier. By bike, you’ll follow the ViaRhôna, the bike route from Lake Geneva to the Mediterranean Sea. Fully enjoy this marked and secure cycling route, winding through vineyards and orchards with the Rhône as your guide. The Cyclo-Train with the Train of Ardèche
The Train of Ardèche, departing from the T. Saint-Jean-de-Muzols station, offers you a combined train and bike experience. Every morning at 9 a.m., from May 1st to July 14th and during May long weekends, hop aboard the diesel train for an unforgettable adventure.
Equipped to carry 75 bikes, this train allows you to discover the splendid Dolce Via by bike . At 10:20 a.m., you will arrive in Lamastre, a perfect spot to explore the beauty of Ardèche. Every Tuesday, you can visit the local producers’ market — a great opportunity to savor Ardèche’s regional specialties! An ideal adventure for lovers of nature, sport, and gastronomy.
