Vivaldi, Divina Stella - Festival Bach

Description

If our era is rich in crises, the decade in which Vivaldi composed his motets for solo voice was perhaps even more so. Concertos and sacred arias by A. Vivaldi

Blandine de Sansal (mezzo-soprano),
Le Concert de l'Hostel Dieu,
Reynier Guerrero (solo violin),
Franck-Emmanuel Comte (harpsichord and direction)

Around 1720, wars and epidemics darken the horizon of an already threatened Age of Enlightenment.

Written for the most part for the young musicians of the Pietà - true angels of light on earth - these motets embody a music of hope.

In these lyrical miniatures, storms and gusts of sound are unleashed before giving way to a consoling clarity. For at the heart of the convulsions of an anxious nature already shines the Divina Stella, the divine star that enlightens and guides mankind.
