Musicians at the table! - Bach Festival

Description

À Table, les musiciens! is a "musical gastronomy" concert where the audience savors the music as a culinary experience. Flautist Patrick Rudant (chef de cuisine for the occasion) explores musical alchemy in the company of a trio of accomplice musicians: harpsichordist Virginie Pillot (specialist in chordal feuilletés), violinist André Costa (master of tierce coulis) and cellist Jean Gaudy (bass rotisseur).

The menu, featuring music by Bach, Handel, Couperin and Rameau, mimics a meal: aperitif, starters, main course, siesta, dessert and digestif.

Each piece is presented before being played, drawing comparisons between music and gastronomy, playing on the textures and flavors of both. A fun, sensory experience to be savored!
