Bren

Description

Bren stands in the north-east of Saint Donat and it is well-know because of its productions of delicious truffes, apricots, nuts, vegetables and cereals. It's also an ideal place for walks in the middle of the wwods, with magnificent views towards the Vercors. The village has a long history from the Celts to the Gallo Romans. In the 10th century, a pottery workshop waspresent. The excavations carried out in 1985 revealed a very elaborate craftsmanship for the time. Bren is reputed for its apricots, including the festival held on the last weekend of July. vegetable production is very present in the municipality, including truffle, asparagus, new potatoes and salads.
