The Champos Lake is ideal for a family outing or a trip with friends and definitely is the perfect place for a summer swim! Sandy beach, shady and wooded area, playgrounds...  Enjoy a day by the water and a summer refreshment at the heart of the Drôme des Collines.

Water sports at the Lake

At the Champos Lake, several water sport activities are available. The first one is swimming of course ! The latter is supervised from July to August. You will also find a diving platform in the swimming area in order to show your skills to your friends and family. For the little ones, a paddling pool with water jets will make their day for sure.

Feeling adventurous? Go for a toboggan ride and race for the fastest downhill! A fun moment to share with your friends and family!

Now, for a calmer moment, the leisure centre of the Champos Lake also offers you the possibility to rent pedal boats, canoes and paddles.  All you need to do is to relax while floating on the water in complete safety. Thanks to these many activities, you can discover the lake at your own pace and enjoy the exceptional landscapes!

On-the-land activities at the Lake

The Champos Lake extends over several hectares of greenery and offers you many quiet and shady spots.  Take a sit on the soft sandy beach or in the shade of the trees for a lazy day. And do not forget to bring your picnic with you! However, it is also possible to eat at the lake’s snack bar! Chill out and enjoy your day at the Champos Lake!

There are also many activities available outside the water such as fishing for example. The Champos Lake is full of fish! All you need is your fishing licence and you can enjoy a day on the banks of the Champos Lake with your fishing rod. You just have to make sure that your licence is valid in the Drôme French department.

For the sport lovers, a beach volleyball court is also accessible. What is better than sharing a game of beach volleyball with your friends to start your perfect holidays?

Finally, for a typical French moment, you will also find pétanque courts at the Champos Lake! So get ready, take you pétanque balls and enjoy the game! Little reminder: the first team to reach 13 points will be the big winner!

Practical information

The Champos Lake is open from 22 May to 31 August with the following opening hours:

In spring, from 22 May to 25 June (weekends and bank holidays included): from 9am to 9.30pm.

In summer, every day from 26 June to 31 August: from 10am to 9.30pm on weekdays and from 9am to 9.30pm on weekends and bank holidays.

Swimming is supervised from 9am to 7pm from the last weekend of May to the first weekend of September.

The entrance is charged per vehicle from 1€ depending on its size (mopeds, motorbikes, cars...).

Great deal: Take your "Ah! The great deals" pass (free pass to be collected from our tourist offices and/or downloaded online) to benefit from a 1€ discount on your ticket to the leisure centre and of 5 free rides on the water slide. (reusable pass - offer valid only in July and August).
